Business Skill Training and Production
At Hawassa Children’s Organization, we are deeply committed to empowering youth through vocational skills training and rehabilitation programs. Our goal is to help young people become professionals and semi-professionals, enabling them to secure employment and lead independent, fulfilling lives.
We operate a well-equipped training workshop and a solar energy training college, offering practical and in-demand skill development. By providing vocational training opportunities locally, we aim to reduce youth migration by equipping young individuals with the skills they need to build a future in their own communities.
Every year, dozens of youth—many of whom have faced significant life challenges enroll in our training program to learn marketable, hands-on skills that prepare them for the workforce or entrepreneurship.

The Importance of Youth Rehabilitation
Youth rehabilitation plays a vital role in society, offering young individuals a second chance to thrive. Through skill training and support for small enterprises, we help youth become financially independent and active contributors to their communities.
In the coming years, Hawassa Children’s Organization will prioritize youth rehabilitation programs to create job opportunities for:
- Vocational training graduates
- Youths who have discontinued formal education
Program Objectives
- Promote sustainable income generation among youth
- Foster self-employment and entrepreneurship
- Develop technical and business skills for small-scale enterprises
- Create new job opportunities within local communities
- Enhance community safety and social cohesion
Our Commitment
Over the next two years, we plan to rehabilitate 10–15 youth by organizing them into cooperative associations and providing startup capital to launch their ventures.
